About Me
My name is Oliver Cox and I am a Biodynamic Osteopath, which is a branch of cranial osteopathy.
When we think about osteopathy we generally think of spinal manipulation, and various direct soft tissue techniques.
The profession though has more to offer with a philosophy and history going back to 1870.
Biodynamic Osteopathy was conceived by James Jealous D.O and his colleagues, and is a combination of traditional Osteopathic thinking and Embryology
(The branch of biology and medicine concerned with the study of embryos and their development).
Through working this way for a number of years I have had the opportunity to watch thousands of times how the body chooses to rebalance when given the opportunity to do so. It has become clear to me that the intelligence involved in this process far exceeds that of the human brain, and the results are way beyond what most of us believe to be possible. This has lead me to both continue my work and studies with in my work and also to look much more broadly in to different ways of viewing this phenomenon.
For me it is Osteopathy and the Biodynamic ideas that have really allowed me to understand meditation, and to start to build a personal practice over a period of years.
The course I have put to together I hope draws on these different ideas and allows the individual to start their own practice with out having to adhere to any particular one.
